Timothy W. Patterson, counselor for ASERO Worldwide, is a certified continuity professional distinguished with vast operational and planning experience in emergency preparedness, Continuity of Government (COG), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Business Continuity (BC) and crisis management programs.
Mr. Patterson has provided BC and emergency preparedness analysis, plan development and exercise support for numerous private industry corporations. In the public sector, he has provided COG, COOP and crisis management analysis, development and execution of comprehensive test, training and exercise programs.
A graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Patterson flew as a mission commander on P-3 Orion and completed his military career with the White House Military Office (WHMO). While at the WHMO he was immersed in the world of continuity. As a watch officer and deputy director at the President's Emergency Operations Center at the White House, he gained planning and operational experience with COG and COOP programs at various levels. Upon completing his career in the Navy, Mr. Patterson continued to support continuity programs in the government sector. This support included the continuity programs he previously operated as well as COOP and disaster recovery programs at the Office of Naval Intelligence.
Mr. Patterson is an experienced professional who understands the requirements for developing continuity and crisis management programs and helps develop solutions by creating the plans, implementing the processes and gathering the resources necessary for successful execution. He serves as a featured speaker at numerous engagements, providing business leaders and continuity practitioners the knowledge and tools necessary for ensuring the continuation of their business functions. Mr. Patterson is a member of the Advisory Council for the University of Maryland, University College’s Homeland Security and Emergency Management Department and is active with numerous industry associations and boards.
